The time relay is used to switch loads in successive phases: electric boilers, ovens, heaters, etc., avoiding power surges in the network and the tripping of circuit breakers due to strong overvoltages.

Time setting field:

(optional on the front panel): 99.9 seconds, 999 seconds, 99.9 minutes, or 999 minutes.
