Control unit for single-phase submersible pump up to 4 kW, 150 V-270 V AC, 30 A, Tense Item code: MDK-03 Electrodes (liquid level sensors) not included
The new MDK-03 control unit from Tense is designed to protect single-phase submersible pumps from all potential issues that may occur during operation, including overvoltage and overcurrent, lack of water in the well or borehole, and pump overload. The integrated functions also allow monitoring of tank fill levels, setting time delays for emergency situations, monitoring overcurrent, and remotely turning the system on and off.
Technical information: Operating voltage: 150-270 VAC. Frequency: 50 Hz Current range: 1-30 A Power consumption: <6 W Liquid sensitivity: <50 kOhm Protection class: IP20 Operating temperature: from -20 °C to +55 °C Cable section: Max 10 mm², electrodes up to 2.5 mm² Weight: 0.25 kg Installation altitude: less than 2000 m
Controller operation
Read the "Important!" section before connecting the device. Connect the sensors and the pump phase cable to the device according to the wiring diagram in the technical sheet, then connect the power supply. Verify that the device's factory settings match the pump's operating parameters. If necessary, the following parameters can be changed:
(P1) - Maximum allowed voltage (230...270 V, factory setting 245 V)
(P2) - Maximum allowable current (1...20 A, factory setting 5 A)
(P3) - Minimum allowable voltage (150...210 V, factory setting 160 V)
(P4) - Minimum allowable current (1...20 A, factory setting 0 A)
(P5) - Fault response delay (0...850 s, factory setting 2 s)
(P6) - Automatic reset time after current error (OFF...850 s, factory setting OFF)
(P7) - Current multiplier for the start interval (1...10, factory setting 3) (P8) - Start interval time (0...850 s, factory setting 10 s)
(P9) - Number of automatic resets of the current error after which the device enters emergency mode and requires operator intervention (VYP...200, factory setting VYP)
(P10) - Delay time for the upper sensor response (a longer delay means the pump will turn on fewer times, extending its life) (0...850 min, factory setting 0 s min)
(P11) - Indicates if the electrodes are immersed in water: if the value is below 230, there is water (the red display indicates the upper electrode, the yellow one the lower electrode).
(P12) - Programs the memory of the last state of the controller before shutdown (0...1, factory setting 1)
After the initial connection to the power supply, the device waits 4 seconds, then analyzes the network parameters and their compliance with the set parameters, checks if there is water in the well, if there is space in the storage tank, and if the controller is in "START" mode (the green "START" indicator is on), activates the control contacts and turns on the upper green "pump" indicator. The display shows the current voltage and current values.
To enter this mode, press the START button.
To exit this mode, press the STOP button. In this mode, the device does not perform any regulation and does not start the pump. If you plan to use the level relay without the float sensor and remote switch, make sure to insert jumpers on the "ON-OFF" and "FLATOR" terminals; otherwise, the controller will not work or will work improperly.
Important!!! Read this section before connecting the device:
- The submersible pump controller must be connected according to the wiring diagram provided in the product datasheet.
- Ensure that the liquid to be pumped is not flammable or explosive.
- The temperature at the controller installation point must be above 0 °C.
- Never apply voltage to the controller inputs to connect the float sensor.
|
- Ensure that the pump body is grounded, otherwise damage to the pump controller may occur.
